“To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event.” “In photography, the smallest thing can be a great subject. The little, human detail can become a Leitmotiv.” ― Henri Cartier-Bresson
In capturing that one fraction of a second, I always strive (but alas not always succeed) to convey a glimpse that in itself tells a broader story. What makes me reach for my camera can sometimes be the observation of an act, and sometimes the urge to record what is a mere presence.
